The University of Texas-Pan American, along with the Wellness and Recreation Center, Student Union, University Program Board and Residence Life are teaming up to bring Broncs Rock the Block, which will be held on Tuesday (Nov 13).

"I hope that with the help of the Wellness and Recreation Center, Student Union as well as the University Program Board and Residence Life, we can team up on multiple occasions and bring the student body different types of fun events that will create a more unified atmosphere on the UTPA campus," said Director of Marketing and Promotions Natalie Haime.

The event will begin at 4 p.m. at the UTPA Fieldhouse parking lot. The event is free to anyone who would like to attend. Free food, drinks and entertainment will be provided.

The main event headlining Broncs Rock the Block is the fight song competition hosted by the UTPA Athletic Department. The individual or group that comes up with the best fight song will receive a prize of $200.

"I hope the fight song competition will become a tradition on the UTPA campus," Haime said.

For more information, contact the Director of Marketing and Promotions Natalie Haime at (956) 381-2205.
