Coyne earned All-Conference honors (Western Junior College Athletic Conference)...finished his sophomore campaign with a .404 batting average...made the Region V playoffs as a freshman.

Fossil Ridge High School Coyne earned two letters in baseball as a Panther...named to the All-District team as a third baseman...received the Cal Ripken Award along with the Teammate Award...averaged a .400 batting average...helped take his team to the playoffs for the first time, a feat that hadn't been done in seven years.
