Eichel was named to the All-Independent Academic Team... finished fourth on the team, batting .301 for the season... recorded three home runs, six doubles, and 22 runs batted in... was sixth on the team in hits with 34... started 33 games behind the plate and made 44 total game appearances... was a perfect 4-4 in stolen base attempts... was second on the team with 197 put outs... recorded eight multiple-hit games... connected on a home run against UT - San Antonio (Apr. 13).
2003 [Sophomore Season]
Eichel started 42 of 54 games behind the plate as a sophomore... was one of six Broncs to score 30 or more runs... was one of seven Broncs to start 40 or more games... scored four runs against Prairie View A&M... had three hits against both Prairie View A&M and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi... drove in three runs against Arkansas-Monticello.
2002 [Freshman Season]
During his freshman season, Eichel batted .288 in 21 games... had a slugging percentage of .407 and on-base percentage of .362... recorded 15 assists.
Grapevine High School - At Grapevine High School, Eichel batted .389 with 13 doubles, one triple, two home runs and 19 RBI as a senior... cited as a member of the National Honor Society... named a Presidential Scholar.
