2008 Season [Sophomore]
Garza served double duties for the Broncs in his second season donning the Bronc green and orange...earned a .286 batting average in six appearances...earned a starting spot on two occasions, against Jackson State (Mar. 1 - Game One) and New Orleans (Apr. 6)...collected one run and two hits in seven at-bats...pitched two-thirds of an inning against UTSA (Mar. 18 - Game Two)...struck out one batter in one appearance on the mound.

2007 Season [Freshman]
Garza appeared in four games for the Broncs in his first season... made his debut against Texas State (Feb. 4).

La Joya High School
A product of the Rio Grande Valley, Garza posted a .371 batting average with eight doubles, three triples and two home runs while driving in 23 runs and plating 33 runs... selected as a first team All-District 31-5A award recipient during his senior campaign at first base... led the Coyotes to the second round of the UIL 5A Texas State playoffs with a victory over Laredo Alexander in the first round... posted a .313 batting average with one home run, three runs scored and three RBI in the second round of the playoffs in a three-game series with PSJA High School... recognized as a first team All-District 31-5A and second team All-Rio Grande Valley selection during his junior season as an outfielder... selected the Most Valuable Player at the Brownsville Baseball Tournament.

Garza is the son of Esequiel and Lisa Garza... born on June 21, 1988... has three sisters... majoring in kinesiology.
