2005 [Freshman Season]
Haines led the Broncs in appearances as a freshman, pitching in 30 games...served as the team's closer, notching six saves...was a second-team All-Independent selection...was once named Independent Newcomer of the Week...finished last season with a 2-3 record and a 4.41 earned run average...walked just 15 batters while recording 37 strikeouts... recorded two saves in one day against Birmingham - Southern and Texas - San Antonio (Mar. 6).

Blinn College - Haines sat out the season as a medical redshirt.

Sharyland High School - Haines was recognized as the Texas High School Baseball Coaches' Association All-State Pitcher... named 31-4A Defensive Most Valuable Player... honored as an All-Rio Grande Valley and All-Area MVP and Player of the Year... selected to play in the East/West All-Star game of the Rio Grande Valley... was 10-1 with a 1.21 ERA, pitching 75 innings as a senior... struck out 95 hitters and allowed 24 walks... batted .338 in his senior season with one home run and 18 RBI... played on a squad that won the district title four straight years... made it to the regional finals in his final season.
