Lankford appeared on the mound on 10 occasions for the Broncs and received no decision on all visits...posted a 5.19 earned run average in 10 appearances and 17 and one-third innings pitched...struck out 13 batters faced...recorded a season-high of three and one-third innings pitched in relief against Texas Southern (Apr. 11)...of the 13 batters struck out, three were against New Mexico State (Mar. 30)...did not allow any runs twice during the season and no earned runs on three occasions...in the Mar. 9 contest against Sam Houston, did not allow any hits.

Lankford finished his first season with a 2.65 earned run average in 14 games on the mound... led the Raiders to a 41-15 overall record and a trip to the NJCAA Region IV Division II Baseball Championship... posted a 0.00 earned run average and two saves in 11.2 innings pitched.

Lankford lettered in cross country, football and baseball...was selected to the Northwest Suburban Junior Showcase... received all-conference team accolades as a senior... qualified for state in cross country...led the Knights with a 1.83 earned run average in 38.1 innings pitched to go along with 25 strikeouts.
