2008 Season [Junior]
The junior college transfer posted a .332 batting average in 55 games played...earned a starting spot on 53 occasions...ranks second in the books with six runs-batted-in in the single-game records...for the season, Rutenbar was hit-by-a-pitch on 12 occasions and ranks fifth in the record books...collected 42 hits, 66 runs, 11 doubles, one triple and five homeruns...drove in 42 runs while plating 199 appearances...posted a .472 slugging percentage, a .433 on-base percentage and a .973 fielding percentage...recorded six at-bats on two occasions...tripled against Jackson State (Mar.1)...collected a career-high six runs-batted-in against Northern Colorado (May 3)...hit one homerun against Southern Illinois (Mar. 14) at the Irish Classic and another against Lamar (Mar. 25)...went 3-for-5 with three hits against Texas Southern (Apr. 11)...named to the All-Independent Second Team and to the National Independent All-Tournament Team for catchers.

Rutenbar posted a .356 batting average in his first season at Tyler Junior College where he collected 13 doubles, plated 21 batters, drove in 21 runs and finished with a .515 slugging percentage... led the Apaches with a 39-11 overall record and a 32-4 record... posted a .524 batting average to go along with 11 hits, six RBI, two doubles , and one home run during the 2007 NJCAA Division III World Series... earned World Series All-Tournament Team honors... finished with a .386 batting average with six homeruns, 12 doubles, 34 runs and 42 RBI's... earned all-conference honorable mention laurel ... was a two time honorable mention recipient.

Rutenbar was a three-year letterman at Waxahachie High School...was a first team all-district selection in his final two seasons with the Indians...was a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
