2008 Season [Junior]
Tefft batted a .175 for the Broncs in his first season with UTPA...drove in five runs while plating 40 plate appearances...earned a starting spot in 10 contest out of 22 games played...collected seven run, seven hits and one triple...recorded two stolen bases...posted a .917 fielding percentage in 22 chances...recorded six at-bats against South Dakota (Mar. 7)...served double-duties for the Broncs as he made two appearances on the mound...pitched against Southern Illinois (Mar. 14) with one and one-third innings in relief with no strikeouts, one run allowed, one earned run and one hit...collected his only triple against Texas Southern (Apr. 12).
[2005-07] Southwestern Community College
Tefft posted a .262 conference batting average in his first season with the Spartans where he finished sixth on the team in total hits, and second in stolen bases... recorded a .393 conference batting average with 57 hits, 11 doubles, 16 stolen bases while collecting 22 RBI and 33 walks... led the ICCAC Division I in walks for two consecutive seasons... earned all-conference accolades.
Bryan High School
A standout at Bryan High School, Tefft finished his final season with a .412 batting average with 35 RBI, four home runs, 10 doubles and five triples en route to earning all-district laurels in three consecutive seasons, all-metro and was a two-time honorable mention all-state recipient...received All-Metro honors... collected first team academic all-region honors... was a member of the National Honor Society

Tefft is the son of Scott and Terri Tefft...has one sister - Makayla Uhl...born on June 3, 1987...majoring in Psychology.
