Tommy Sandoval

Player Profile

Career:
Sandoval was a star pitcher from 1967-70 for the Broncs. As a senior in 1970, he was 8-0 with 45 strike outs and a 1.45 ERA in 74 and one-third innings. Sandoval led his team to the District 6 championship and won the Lou Hassell Award as the Outstanding Male Student-Athlete at UTPA. He left UTPA as the second winningest pitcher in school history with 20 and played professionally with Reynosa of the Mexican League.
