Bruce Martin begins his second season as an assistant coach with The University of Texas-Pan American men's basketball program.

During the 2006-07 season, Martin served on the coaching staff at Radford University where the Highlanders accumulated an 8-22 record in his only campaign with the program. With the Highlanders, Martin was responsible for recruiting, scouting, game preparation, player development of guards, practice planning, and on-the-floor coaching.

Prior to joining the Radford University coaching staff, Martin served as head coach of the Ockelbo Basketball Club in Ockelbo, Sweden. Martin was the youngest coach in 32 years in Sweden's top professional league. Martin led the lowest budget team to a 6-8 record including a 3-3 record on the road.

Martin spent three seasons as the Assistant Athletic Director for Basketball Operations at Clemens University from 2000-03 where he was responsible for planning team travel, administrative duties within the athletic department, planning and organizing visits, coordinator for Clemson Tiger basketball camps, as well as developing strategies to market the basketball program.

The newly-named assistant coach served as a graduate assistant at Clemson University and at the University of Wyoming where he assisted in on-the-floor coaching, implemented individual workouts, planning and creating mail to prospects, execution of film exchange and gathering of scouting reports.

Martin spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Francis Marion University in Florence, SC, where he served as an assistant coach under John Schweitz. During his tenure with the Patriots, Martin was responsible for recruiting, reviewing game films, writing scouting reports, supervising weekly academic meetings and assisting the head with practice planning.

Martin was a member of the Clemson University Tiger's where the shooting guard lead the Tiger's to three NIT appearances and became the sixth player in school history to record the most three point field goals.

The Broncs' assistant coach received his bachelor's degree in science and business management from Clemson University in August of 1994.
