2003 - 2004 - Montalvo was a letterwinner for the third straight season in a Broncs' uniform... was one of two college student-athletes to be honored with the Citizenship Through Sport Alliance (CTSA) award at the NACDA convention in Dallas... ranked second on the squad in assists (51) and steals (38), third in three-point field goals made (22) and fourth in three-point field goals attempted and rebounds (95)... had one of his top performances against McMurry (Dec. 31) where he set career-highs in field goals made, field goal percentage and three-pointers made (four)... finished that game with 22 points and grabbed six rebounds... scored 15 points at the UTPA Fieldhouse against Alcorn State (Feb. 2) on 5-6 shooting while adding four steals, four assists and three rebounds... finished with 13 points and six rebounds against Texas - Arlington (Nov. 29)... was 6-7 from the free throw line in that contest... added 13 points and six rebounds against Texas A&M - Corpus Christi (Feb. 14), including draining three three-pointers... had a season-high nine rebounds versus Arkansas State (Feb. 11)... recorded eight contests of five or more rebounds... saw action in 28 contests while earning a spot in the starting lineup 24 times.

2002 - 2003 - In his second season with the Broncs, Montalvo had a breakthrough year that saw in rank in the top four in nine offensive categories... was second on the team in three-point field goals made and three-point field goal attempts and third in scoring average, points and assists... scored a career-high 23 points against Rice (Jan. 8), including 7-7 from the free throw line and 4-8 from behind the three-point line... finished with 21 points against Centenary (Jan. 11) the following game... recorded his first career double-double (points-rebounds) at New Mexico State (Jan. 18) when he scored 15 points and notched 13 rebounds, including nine defensive boards... scored in double digits in 13 times... had a double-double at the UTPA Fieldhouse versus Centenary (Feb. 24) with 20 points and 10 rebounds... scored at least 10 points in the six of the team's first seven games... had 17 points and five steals against Concordia (Nov. 26)... ranked first on the team in steals... finished the season with a 9.1 scoring average along with 4.0 rebounds and 1.6 steals per game... earned his second letter of his career after playing in all 30 Bronc contests while starting 28 games.

2001 - 2002 - Montalvo appeared in 26 games during his first season with the squad... had his best game of the season against Portland (Dec. 5) when he drained a career-high six three-pointers, including two in overtime... ended the game with 18 points... scored seven points and added five rebounds the following game at Washington State (Dec. 7)... started one game during the season at Middle Tennessee State (Feb. 4).

2000 - 2001 - Sat out the season due to a redshirt

High School - Montalvo averaged 22.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 2.3 steals per game en route to being named the Most Valuable Player in District 30-5A... earned selections to the all-region, all-valley and all-area squads as a senior... was named the Sophomore of the Year at La Joya High School... cited as a member of the all-defensive team... earned letters in both basketball and track and field... graduated in the top 15 percent of his class.

From the Charity Stripe - Montalvo is the son of Blauca Montalvo... was born on Feb. 26, 1982... has four brothers - Armando, Ivan, Omar and Adam... majoring in sociology and Spanish.
