2005-06 [Junior Season]
Sheppard started all 31 games in his first season as a Broncs floor general... averaged 7.0 points, 4.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game... recorded his first career double-double (points-assists) against Northern Colorado (Jan. 14) with a 15-point, 12-assist performance and finished just four rebounds shy of a triple-double... scored a career-high 18 points against Southern Methodist (Jan. 24) on 6-17 shooting while recording a career-high six steals in that game, which was tied for ninth in the single-season record books... led the team in assists with 143, which was nearly 100 more than any other member of the squad... collected 71 steals on the season, which were twice as many as any other member of the team, and ranked him ninth on the all-time single-season record books... posted 1,034 minutes played was also the highest on the team and ranked fourth in the all-time single-season record books... finished with the second-highest three-point field goal shooting percentage (34.3) on the squad... was fifth on the team with 218 points scored... recorded seven double-digit points scoring performances... dished out nine assists against Wichita State (Nov. 22) and Utah Valley State (Jan. 28)... played 41 minutes in an overtime game against Tulsa (Jan. 7) after playing a full 40 minutes the game before against Arkansas (Dec. 30)... made a season-high three three-pointers against Tulsa (Jan. 7)... led all NCAA Division I Independent players in assists per game... was named the Independent Newcomer of the Week (Jan. 18).
2003-05 [Iowa Western Community College]
Sheppard is a product of Iowa Western Community College where he guided the Reivers to a school-record 40-win season... was part of a program that won the Region XI men's basketball championships and advanced to the school's first NJCAA National Tournament where Iowa Western Community College finished fifth overall... recorded his best all-around game against Marshalltown in the Region XI playoffs with a 14-point, eight-assist, two-steal performance.
High School
Sheppard was named the District 4-5A Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year during his final season at Glen Oaks High School... was a first team All-District 4-5A and All-Metro selection in his final season... earned a spot on the honorable mention all-state team... was a member of a Glen Oaks prep program that won 28 games and captured the conference and regional championships... collected 19 points, five rebounds and two steals against McKinley in the regional championship game... earned three letters during his tenure at Glen Oaks... played for the Sports Academy in Baton Rouge, LA, where he averaged 21.0 points, 8.0 assists and 3.0 steals per game... guided his AAU team to an eighth-place finish at the national tournament.
