The University of Texas-Pan American men's basketball team will head to Fort Worth, Texas to face the TCU Horned Frogs this Wednesday (Jan. 20) evening at the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
Tip-off for tonight's contest is slated for 7:00 p.m. The Broncs enter tonight's game with a 3-16 mark and a 2-0 conference record.
UTPA is currently on a two-game win streak with victories over Great West Conference foes NJIT and Chicago State.
In the Broncs last contest, UTPA posted three Broncs in double-figures with Matt Mierzycki scoring a season-high 16 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field and 6-of-7 from the line. Jared Maree contributed 12 points with Aaron Urbanus adding another 11 points.
Tonight's game also marks the fifth meeting in the program's history with TCU holding a 3-1 advantage over the Broncs. In their last match up, the Horned Frogs defeated the Broncs by a landslide by a score of 153-87.
The Horned Frogs head into tonight's contest with a 9-9 overall record and a 2-2 Mountain West Conference mark.
TCU is coming off a 67-62 loss to San Diego State this past Saturday. In their last five contests, the Frogs are 3-2 with victories over Rice, Air Force, and Wyoming.
Zvonko Buljan and Ronnie Moss lead the team as they are both averaging 13.6 points per game. Buljan also leads the squad in rebounds with 9.3 boards per game.
After tonight's contest, the Broncs continue with non-conference action as they host Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Monday, Jan. 25 with tip-off slated for 7:00 p.m.
