GAME INFORMATION
▪ - The Broncs play their final home game of the season as they face NJIT this Monday (Feb. 23) at 7:00 p.m. CT

▪ - The Broncs stand at 8-16 on the season while the Highlanders are 1-25 on the season

▪ - The Broncs are 6-3 at the UTPA Fieldhouse while NJIT is 0-12 on the road

▪ - The Broncs won their last contest, which was against North Carolina Central, 67-66 with a buzzer beating basket

▪ - Bronc faithful can log onto www.utpabroncs.cstv.com and click on the Broncs Live logo to listen to your Broncs at home

LAST GAME - INSIDE NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL
▪ - After suffering a 77-71 loss in Durham against NCCU, the Broncs returned the favor and defeated the Eagles 67-66 with a buzzer beating basket

▪ - The first half was low scoring half as the Broncs entered halftime trailing by one with a score of 23-22

▪ - Bryan Ayala took the Broncs two-point lead on a three-point shot with 1:07 left to play

▪ - The first half consisted of two ties and eight lead changes

▪ - As the second half began, the Eagles held onto their lead as they held it throughout most of the second

▪ - The crowd started going wild after the Broncs cut down the lead to three on a shot from beyond the arc by Ben Smith

▪ - The Broncs pressured the Eagles causing them to miss their shots in five possessions

▪ - The Broncs grabbed a good lead with 2:45 to play on a three from Weiermiller but NCCU tied the score at 62 with 1:42 on the clock

▪ - The Eagles would tie the score once more and hold a one point lead with seven seconds on the clock

▪ - MIichael Glasker would foul taking PJ Turner to the line but would miss both free throws and would rebound his own missed FT shot

▪ - Turner would go up for a layup and miss but teammate Julius Allgood would be there to rebound and make the buzzer beating basket to defeat NCCU

▪ - UTPA had five Broncs in double-figures with Hawkins (11), Jones (13), Maree (13), Weiermiller (10) and Allgood (14)

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT - NJIT
▪ - NJIT Highlanders are 1-25 for the season

▪ - NJITfs lone win came against Bryant on Jan. 21 as the Highlanders defeated Bryant 61-51

▪ - Isaiah Wilkerson leads the Highlanders in scoring average with 13.3 ppg

▪ - On the boards, Gary Garris leads with 5.6 rpg along with ranking third on the team in scoring average with 10.9 ppg

▪ - The Highlanders are coming off a 70-51 loss to Great West-foe Houston Baptist this past Saturday

▪ - Sophomore Jheryl Wilson was the top performer and only player in double-figures against HBU with a game-high 23 points and eight rebounds
