The University of Texas-Pan American concludes its four-game road slate as they face the Mississippi State Bulldogs this Tuesday (Nov. 24) afternoon at Humphrey Coliseum in Starkville, MS at 7:00 p.m.
Tonight's contest will mark the second meeting in both the program's history. The last time the two dueled was in 1997 as the Bulldogs pulled away with a 90-60 victory.
The Broncs enter tonight's contest 0-4 after suffering a 100-44 setback by Missouri this past Sunday. UTPA is led by Jared Maree and Luis Valera, who are averaging 8.5 points per game each. Valera also leads the team in rebounds with 5.3 boards a game.
Mississippi State is on a two-game win streak as they notched back-to-back wins over Southeast Louisiana and Bethune-Cookman. Leading the Bulldogs is Jarvis Varnado with 17.3 points and 11.0 rebounds per game.
After tonight's contest, the Broncs return home and prepare for the third and fourth rounds of the South Padre Island Invitational, which will be held on Nov. 27 and 28 at the South Padre Island Convention Center.
