The Broncs hit the road as they head to Ruston, LA to face Louisiana Tech on Tuesday, December 22 at the Thomas Assembly Center with tip-off slated for 8:00 p.m. CT.
The Broncs enter Tuesday's contest 1-11 after dropping a 72-48 decision to UTSA this past Friday at the UTPA Fieldhouse and a 104-42 decision to Texas a week ago.
Sophomore Jared Maree stands as a probable for Tuesday's contest with an injury acquired at Texas a week ago. Maree was averaging 9.8 points and 3.8 rebounds per game prior to his injury.
After missing one contest, Maree still leads the squad with 9.1 points per game. Luis Valera follows with 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game. Making an impact on the team is Matt Mierzycki who is averaging 7.0 points and 5.7 rebounds per game in four games played.
Tuesday's meeting will mark the 34th between the two. LA Tech and UTPA met earlier in the season for the season opener, at UTPA, with LA Tech taking an 80-62 victory.
Louisiana Tech stands at a 9-2 mark for the season with back-to-back wins over Centenary and Murray State. At home, LA Tech holds a 3-0 record with wins over Nicholls State, Northwestern State, and Murray State.
Kyle Gibson leads LA Tech with 21.7 points per game along with 4.2 rebounds per game. Olu Ashaolu leads the team in rebounds as he's averaging 8.7 per game.
After Tuesday's contest, the Broncs take a break for the holidays and then return to the UTPA Fieldhouse as they host Northern Arizona on December 28 at 2:00 p.m.
