Hughey appeared in one tournament during the spring season where he finished 81st overall with a three-round score of 239 at the UTSA Intercollegiate... was a Dean's List Second Honors recipient during the spring semester... earned his second consecutive trip to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club and garnered UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll laurels.
Fall 2005
In his first fall season with the Broncs, Hughey appeared in two tournaments where he recorded his best finish at the Battle on the Bend in 65th place... shot 250 for that tournament, including a season-round low of 83 in the first and third rounds... posted a 68th-place finish at the Fairway Club Invitational with a 54-hole total of 260... recorded a 85.0 strokes average during the fall season... earned Dean's List First Honors with a perfect 4.0 grade point average... was a first time member of the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club.
High School
Hughey recorded three top 10-finishes on the Texas Junior Golf Tour during his career... finished 12th overall at the Texas-Oklahoma Junior Tournament... posted a 24th-place finish at the AJGA Osso Junior Tournament at Oak Tree... ranked 1,305th by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard during his prep days at Plano West High School.

Hughey is the son of Larry and Debbie Hughey... has one sister - Haley... has an uncle that played basketball at University of North Texas and grandfather played basketball at Central Oklahoma... was born on May 7, 1986... majoring in business... chose UTPA over Texas Tech, Baylor, North Texas and Central Oklahoma.
