As the Broncs wrap up their third spring tournament of the season, the University of Texas-Pan American men's golf team remained in 13th place out of 14 teams at the ASU Red Wolf Classic this Tuesday (April 14) afternoon at the Ridge Pointe Country Club in Jonesboro, AR.
After finishing day one in a tie with teammate Armen Kirakossian, Shane Pearce surpassed his teammate and finished tied for 26th with a 7-over-par 223 as he shot a perfect 72 in the final round. Kirakossian finished tied for 34th with a 9-over-par 225.
A.J. Gonzalez finished with a total score of 240, while High Wongchindawest tallied a score of 247 and newcomer Orlando Moreno tallied a 254.
Louisiana-Lafayette took the ASU Red Wolf Classic with a total score of 867. Arkansas State trailed Louisiana-Lafayette by a score of 870 for second place, Oral Roberts (875) in third, Central Arkansas (878) in fourth and Illinois State (880) in fifth-place to round out the top-five.
Kyle Pritchard (Louisiana-Lafayette), Jad Sinclair (Central Arkansas) and Todd Obergoenner (Southern Illinois) split the tournament title as all three finished with a total score of 211.
The Broncs next look to the Great West Conference Championship on April 20 hosted by Houston Baptist.
