2007-08 Season [Sophomore]
Vij only competed in three matches throughout the season while collecting a 6-1, 6-0 win over John Iwanski of Santa Clara in the number-six position...in doubles' play, Vij recorded a 1-1 record with teammate Aswin Vijayaragavan...defeated Senthill Chidambaram and Charlie Burke of Santa Clara, 8-4, with teammate Vijayaragavan in the number-three spot in the rotation.

2006-2007 Season [Freshman]
In his second season in a Bronc uniform, Vij competed in 15 matches playing at the number-three, -four, -five, and -six positions in singles' action... posted an 5-7 record in dual doubles' action while playing in the number-three position of the rotation...recorded a 1-3 mark in tournament action in doubles' competition... notched a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Samuel Miers of Hardin-Simmons playing at the number-five position... handed 53rd ranked Jose Zunino and Jaume Farras of Texas A&M-Corpus Christi an 8-6 setback with teammate Gary Bianco at the number-three doubles' position... won back-to-back matches at the number-three position of the rotation against Jason Hubb and Jeremy Hubb of Prairie View A&M by scores of 8-3 followed by a victory over Nate Carvalho and Tom Cook of University of Connecticut by an 8-6 mark... handed Wes Kidd and Samuel Miers of Hardin-Simmons University a 8-6 setback... collected a 8-6 victory over the team of Luke Hawk and Bryce Hicks of Abilene Christian... captured a 8-6 decision over Alexis Campos and Juan Jimenez of Monterrey Tech.

2005-2006 Season [The University of New Orleans]
Vij spent the 2006 season with the University of New Orleans men's tennis program, but did not compete due to the season being suspended by the devastation of Hurricane Katrina.

Makelanrinne Sports High School
A standout in his home country of Finland, Vij was one of the top junior players where he was a member of the Finnish Junior National Team from 1996 through the 2003 season... reached the Round of 16 at the National Men's Tennis Championships in Finland for the Under-18 Division... was an ITF junior-ranked athlete while attending Makelanrinne Sports High School... ranked second in the nation during his Under-16 Division career and finished second on both the national team and at the National Men's Tennis Championships... finished third on a pair of occasions at the National Men's Tennis Championships during his Under-14 career.

Off the Court
Vij is the son of Ranesh Vij and Tuula Toiviainen... was born on Jan. 17, 1985... has one sister... majoring in engineering... chose UTPA over Texas Tech, Marquette and South Florida.
