UTPA newcomer Marcus Dornauf (East Launceston, Tasmania, Aus/Scotch Oakburn College Prep) earned Aeropostale Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week Honorable Mention laurels, which was released on Friday (Feb.15).

Dornauf finished the week with a 2-0 record in singles' action at the number-six position and a 1-1 record in the number-three doubles' position in a pair of non-conference match-ups.

The UTPA freshman recorded a 6-2, 6-2 victory over James Crawford of 68th ranked Tennessee Tech on Saturday's match-up then followed that performance with a hard-fought 7-6, 3-6, 15-13 win over Victor Wibreus of Arkansas-Little Rock in Sunday's match.

In doubles' action in the third flight, Dornauf teamed with Nirvick Mohinta to defeat Borja Zarco and Mario Gutierrez of 68th ranked Tennessee Tech on Saturday's match.

The Broncs will be back in action on Friday (Feb.15) when UTPA square-offs against 48th ranked Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Corpus Christi, TX.
