Broncs Square-Off Against Lamar

The University of Texas-Pan American men's tennis team will face-off against Southland Conference foe-Lamar University on Saturday (Mar. 29) at the Orville Cox Tennis Center at 10 a.m.

The Broncs are coming off a 5-2 setback over University of Texas at Arlington last Saturday at home and fell to 5-8 on the season.

Newcomers Ashwin Vijayaragavan and Marcus Dornauf were the only Broncs to record wins in singles' play. Vijayaragavan collected a 6-3, 6-0 win over Dmitry Minkin playing in the number-two spot while Dornauf handed Nishant Hari a 6-2, 6-2 setback in the sixth spot of the lineup.

The Cardinals enter Saturday's match on a four-game skid falling to New Mexico State, Iowa, Troy and Northwestern. Lamar is 5-12 overall and 0-1 in conference action.

Following the match-up against the Cardinals, the Broncs will have two final home game when they take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Thursday (Apr. 3) and Oral Roberts on Saturday (Apr. 5) both with 10 a.m. start times.
