Gary Bianco (Annecy, France/Lycee Berthollet) represented The University of Texas-Pan American men's tennis team on the 2007 Capital One All-Southland Academic team that was announced on Tuesday (Jun. 19).

The UTPA senior earned the distinction during the 2004-05 season, recording a 3.65 grade point average as a English major during and was cited as an honorable mention for Aeropostale Southland Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 21. Bianco was a two-time member of the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during his sophomore season and earned Dean's List First Honors during the fall semester.

Bianco finished his final season in a Bronc uniform with a 9-12 singles' record and 5-7 doubles' mark. The senior collected a 23-22 singles' record during his career in a Bronc uniform.

The All-Academic team honors student-athletes who were selected all-conference and/or named as a national all-academic recipient this year while also earning at least a 3.0 grade point average.
