Indoor - Gonzalez notched a 23rd place finish in the one-mile run at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a time of 4:33.10...recorded his best finish in the one-mile race at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a fifth-place finish in a time of 4:27.30...earned a 15th place finish in the 800-meter run at the Bayou Classic...Outdoor - Recorded nine top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season...notched a first-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Javelina Invitational with a time of 1:54.90...grabbed a pair of second-place finishes in the 800-meter run at the Rice Twilight with a time of 1:52.60 and at the Houston Invitational with a time of 1:51.98...earned a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Rice Bayou Classic with a time of 1:53.37...grabbed a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Texas Twilight with a time of 1:52.99...recorded a first-place finish in the 1,500-meter run at the Border Olympics his best time of the season with 4:01.25...placed fourth overall in the 1,500-meter run at the Texas State Open with a time of 4:07.28...earned Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors during the spring semester.

2007 Season
Cross Country - Competed in three meets during his sophomore season...with a time of 27:49.0, placed 64th at the Texas A&M Invitational...in his second meet of the season, placed 134th at the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival with a time of 33:57.50...at the National Independent Championships, Gonzalez placed 13th with a time of 26:01.34...Outdoor - The UTPA freshman recorded six top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season...finished third overall at the Border Olympics with a time of 4:01.77 in the 1,500-meter race...notched a third place showing with a time of 4:02.63 at the Bobcat Open in the 1,500-meter race...placed third overall in the 1,500-meter race at the Tom Tellez Invitational with a time of 3:59.90...earned sixth-place in the 800-meter dash with a time of 2:01.97 at the Border Olympics...finished ninth overall at the Texas Twilight with a time of 1:55.84 in the 800-meter dash...Indoor - Gonzalez competed in a pair of meets during the indoor track and field season...finished third overall at the UH/RunSport All-Comers meet with a time of 2:05.57 in the 800-meter race...earned 12th place in the 800-meter race with a time of 1:58.73 at the University of Houston Invitational.

2006 Season
Cross Country - Gonzalez competed in three meets during the cross country season.

Edinburg North High School
Gonzalez comes to the UTPA men's track and field/cross country program as one of the top runners in the Rio Grande Valley during his senior season... helped Edinburg North High School capture a pair of district championships as well as a regional team crown... was selected as the Most Valuable Player in track and field, basketball and cross country during his prep career... recorded a personal-best time of 1:54.80 in the 800 meters and 4:21.50 in the 1,600-meter race... earned five letters during his high school playing career.

Gonzalez is the son of Osvaldo and Yoldanda Gonzalez... was born on Oct. 30, 1987... has one brother - Marc... majoring in criminal justice.
