Indoor - Martinez placed 11th overall in the 800-meter run at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a time of 1:59.98...notched a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a time of 1:57.65...finished 13th in the 800-meter at the Bayou Classic with a time of 1:58.44...Outdoor - collected seven top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season...in the opening meet of the outdoor season, Martinez notched a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Border Olympics with a time of 2:05.13...grabbed another fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Texas State Open with a time of 1:55.99...earned a third-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Texas Invitational with a time of 1:53.65...finished seventh overall in the 800-meter run at the Javelina Invitational with a time of 1:58.67...notched a third-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Rice Twilight with a time of 1:52.81...placed sixth at the Houston Invitational in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.60.

Cross Country - Martinez notched a ninth-place finish at the Texas A&M-CC Relays with a time of 42:52.00...earned a spot for the NCAA South Central Regional Championships with a 10-place finish at the National Independent Championships with a time of 25:55.07...Indoor- Competed in three indoor meets for the Broncs...earned an 11th-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Leonard Hilton Memorial meet with a time of 1:59.98...placed sixth at the Houston Indoor Invitational in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.65...ran his second best time of the indoor season at the Bayou Classic with a time of 1:58.44 in the 800-meter run...Outdoor- Martinez grabbed a fourth-place finish at the Border Olympics in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:05.13...ran the 1,500-meter run at the Texs Twilight in 4:20.95 earning him a 13th place finish...ran his best 800-meter race at the Rice Twilight in 1:52.81 placing 3rd.

2006 Season
Cross Country - Competed in two meets during the fall cross country season... finished 53rd overall at the Texas A&M Invitational (8,000 meters)...Outdoor - Martinez Jr. competed in seven meets during the outdoor track and field season... notched a third place finish at the Texas Twilight in the 1,500 meter-race with a mark of 4:03:99... finished sixth overall in the 800-meter race at the ASU/David Noble Relays with a time of 1:55:50... collected seventh place honors at the Bobcat Open in the 1,500-meter race with a mark of 4:11:09... came in seventh overall with a time of 1:58:26 at the Texas Invitational in the 800-meter dash.

Nikki Rowe High School
A standout at Nikki Rowe High School, Martinez Jr. placed ninth at Nationals in the two-mile relay with a time of 8:04... was a member of Los Guerreros relay team... recorded a time of 8:04 in the two mile relay.

Off The Track
Martinez Jr. is the son of Gilroy and Noemi Martinez... was born April 4, 1988... has two sisters - Savannah and Brittany... majoring in biology/kinesiology.
