Outdoor - Ramirez competed in four meets during the outdoor track and field season... finished sixth overall at the Tom Tellez Invitational in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 16.23.07... placed 11th overall at the Texas Invitational with a time of 9:38.50in the 3,000-meter race...Indoor - Saw action in a pair of meets during the indoor track and field season... finished 15th overall in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 16:38.38 at the Leonard Hilton Memorial.

2006
Cross Country - The UTPA sophomore competed in a pair of meets during the cross country season... Outdoor - Ramirez notched his first top-five finish in the outdoor season at the ASU/David Noble Relays where he placed fifth overall with a time of 15:58.11 in the 5,000 meters... placed eighth overall after crossing the end line in 4:09.54 in the 1,500 meters at the Texas Twilight... finished 10th overall at the Border Olympics in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:17.14... notched a 15th-place finish in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:08.51 at the Texas Invitational... Indoor - The UTPA freshman collected a top-finish of fifth overall with a time of 9:26.35 in the 3,000 meters at the Wes Kittley Invitational... placed 14th overall after crossing the end line with a time of 9:12.36 in the 3,000 meters at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet... placed 17th overall at the Wes Kittley Six-Way with a mark of 4:46.47 in the one-mile race.

2005
Cross Country - Ramirez appeared in two meets during his rookie campaign with the Broncs' cross country team... finished 47th overall at the National Independent Cross Country Championships with a time of 28:17.76 in the 8,000-meter race... posted a mark of 34:44.45 in the 10,000-meter race at the NCAA Division I South Central Regional Championships, which placed him 69th overall.

Waelder ISD
A product of Waelder ISD, Ramirez was a two-time district champion in the 3,200 meters during his prep career... qualified for the regional championships in each of those two seasons in that event... qualified for the state championships in cross country during his sophomore season... garnered the Marine Athlete Award... posted personal-best times of 10:18 in the 3,200 meters and 17:05 in the 5,000 meters.

Off the Track
Ramirez is the son of Domingo and Margarita Ramirez... was born on Nov. 17, 1985... has three brothers and two sisters... brother, David, was a lettermen for the track and field and cross country programs at UTPA for four years... majoring in engineering.
