Stephanie Perez and Amanda Ferris took home two top-10 finishes in their respective sport at the NCAA Mid-West Regional this Friday (May 29) afternoon at John Jacobs Field in Norman, OK.
Amanda Ferris was the first of today's competitors to finish their event where she took home a ninth-place finish in the women's hammer with a throw of 53.48 meters (175-05).
Stephanie Perez added a 10th place finish in the discus throw as she competed in a field of 27 throwers. Perez marked a throw of 48.19 meters (158-01).
Each athlete that finishes in the top five in the field events moves onto the outdoor championships in June.
Wally Gonzalez was the last of today's competitors to conclude their event and recorded a time of 1:51.60 for a 15th place overall finish. Gonzalez's time of 1:51.60 has been his best time this season.
Amanda Ferris and J.J. Hernandez will represent the Broncs and Lady Broncs in the conclusion of the NCAA Mid-West Regional as Ferris will compete in the shot put and Hernandez in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
