Outdoor - The UTPA freshman earned three finishes in the top 15 of an event during his first season with the Broncs... finished eighth overall in the 800 meters with a time of 2:11.57 at the Border Olympics... earned 12th-place honors at the Texas Twilight with a time of 53.77 in the 400-meter dash... recorded a mark of 54.04 in the 400-meter dash at the Houston Invitational en route to finishing 14th overall... Indoor - Hanson recorded his best finish of the indoor season at the Wes Kittley Six-Way where he finished 16th overall with a mark of 55.68 in the 400-meter dash... placed 25th overall in the 400-meter dash with a time of 56.50 at the Wes Kittley Invitational.

High School
Hanson earned five letters at Donna High School - three in track and field, one in football and one in cross country... earned a pair of trips to the regional championships in both the 4x200- and 4x400-meter relay... was selected as the Redskins' team captain in track and field as a senior... captured the qualifying-round title in the 200 meters during the summer and advanced to San Antonio in the 100-, 200- and 800-meters.

Off the Track
Hanson is the son of Gene and Juanita Hanson... has two brothers - Gary and Gene... was born on May 13, 1987... majoring in kinesiology... chose UTPA over Texas A&M-Kingsville.
