2009 Season
Indoor - Martinez saw action in four meets during the indoor season...ran his second best time in the 800-meter run as he clocked a time of 1:58.29 at the Great West Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships for a seventh-place finish...also ran second best time in the one-mile run with at time of 4:23.60 at the Great West Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships...Outdoor - posted a career-best 3:57.72 in the 1,500-meter run at the Texas Twilight...ran the 5,000-meter run for the first time in his collegiate career and crossed the finish line in 15:53.83 for a 14th place finish at the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships...competed in six meets during the outdoor season...ran a season best 1:56.90 in the 800M run at the GWC Outdoor Championships...collected seven top-10 finishes...in relay races, collected four top-10 finishes...competed in the 4x800-meter relay and 4x1,500-meter relay at the Texas Relays and helped lead his team to a sixth and eighth place finish respectively...earned Dean's List Second Honors and Bronc Pride 3.0 Club honors.

2008 Season
Cross Country - Martinez competed in five meets during his junior campaign....placed 12th overall at the HBU/Puma Cross Country Invitational as he crossed the finish line in 15:43...earned a 17th place finish at the New Balance Islander Splash with a time of 26:18...Indoor - Martinez placed 11th overall in the 800-meter run at the Leonard Hilton Memorial with a time of 1:59.98...notched a sixth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Houston Indoor Invitational with a time of 1:57.65...finished 13th in the 800-meter at the Bayou Classic with a time of 1:58.44...Outdoor - collected seven top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season...in the opening meet of the outdoor season, Martinez notched a fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Border Olympics with a time of 2:05.13...grabbed another fourth-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Texas State Open with a time of 1:55.99...earned a third-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Texas Invitational with a time of 1:53.65...finished seventh overall in the 800-meter run at the Javelina Invitational with a time of 1:58.67...notched a third-place finish in the 800-meter run at the Rice Twilight with a time of 1:52.81...placed sixth at the Houston Invitational in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:53.60.

2007 Season
Cross Country - Martinez notched a ninth-place finish at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Relays with a time of 42:52.00...earned a spot for the NCAA South Central Regional Championships with a 10-place finish at the National Independent Championships with a time of 25:55.07...Indoor - Competed in three meets during the indoor season...placed third at the UH All-Comers Meet with a time of 4:26.55, which was also a season best...ran a 2:01.26 in the 800-meter run for an 11th place finish at the UH All-Comers Meet...Outdoor - ran a season best 1:54.90 in the 800M run at the Rice Twilight...ran a season best 4:03.99 in the 1,500-meter run at the Texas Twilight for a 3rd place finish...posted seven top-10 finishes...placed sixth at the ASU/David Noble Relays in the 800M run with a time of 1:55.50...collected a seventh place finish in the 1,500M run at the Bobcat Open with a time of 4:11.09...earned another seventh place finish in the 800M run for a time of 1:58.26 at the Texas Invitational...placed eighth at the Texas Twilight in the 800M run as he clocked a time of 1:55.83.

2006 Season
Cross Country - Competed in two meets during the fall cross country season... finished 53rd overall at the Texas A&M Invitational (8,000 meters)

High School
A standout at Nikki Rowe High School, Martinez Jr. placed ninth at Nationals in the two-mile relay with a time of 8:04... was a member of Los Guerreros relay team... recorded a time of 8:04 in the two mile relay.

Off The Track
Martinez Jr. is the son of Gilroy and Noemi Martinez... was born April 4, 1988... has two sisters - Savannah and Brittany... majoring in biology/kinesiology.
