Player Profile

Position:
Assistant Coach (1st Season)

Alma Mater:
University of Massachusetts at Amherst (2004)

G Maeweather begins her first season as the assistant women's basketball coach for The University of Texas-Pan American women's basketball program.

Maeweather joins the UTPA women's basketball program from Loyola University in Chicago, IL where she spent two seasons as the assistant women's basketball coach for the Ramblers.

While at Loyola, Maeweather assisted with the day-to-day duties of the program, while handling the post players on the court. She was also responsible for the academic progress of the women, player adherence to team rules, recruiting and coordinating summer camps.

Prior to Loyola, Maeweather spent a season at Independence Community College where she served as the assistant women's basketball coach. Maeweather supervised the academic development of the women athletes through daily and weekly meetings. She was also responsible for making travel arrangements for the team.

Maeweather began her coaching career in Olympia Fields, IL at her alma mater as a high school head sophomore girl's basketball coach at Rich Central High School.

Maeweather earned her bachelor's degree in legal studies from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2004.
