The University of Texas-Pan American women's tennis team will hit the road where they will face-off against Prairie View A&M and Rice University on Saturday (Mar. 8).

The Lady Broncs are coming off a dominating 6-1 victory against Southern University on Feb. 24 and improved their overall record to 7-5.

Senior captain Silke Buksik (Waiblingen, Germany/ Salier-Gymnasium Waiblingen) is one of two seniors coming up big for the Lady Broncs. Buksik has collected 10 victories in singles action while recording a 9-2 record in doubles' action with teammate Megan Bedeau (Scarborough, Ontario, Canada/ Northview Heights S.S.).

At the halfway point of the season, the Lady Broncs are on the verge of having one of the best seasons since the 89-90 campaign when former head men's and women's tennis coach David Cross led his squad to a 15-10 overall record.

The Lady Broncs will first match-up against Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, TX at 9 a.m. followed by a face-off against Conference USA-foe Rice University at 2 p.m at the Jake Hess Tennis Stadium.
