The University of Texas-Pan American Lady Broncs collected their 10th win of the season against Oral Roberts this afternoon at the Orville Cox Tennis Center.
With the victory, the Lady Broncs improved to 10-6 on the season which is the most wins in UTPA women's tennis history since 1993.
The Lady Broncs began the match collecting the doubles point from the Golden Eagles and collected the match by a final score of 6-1.
Tandem Giana Oliveira and Stephanie Willerding dropped a 8-3 decision to Emily Arkell and Rafaela Souza in the top flight while Megan Bedeau and Silke Buksik continued in their winning ways, collecting their 13th victory of the season as they posted a 8-3 win over Hayden Rush and Costa in the number-two flight.
Julia Cirne-Lima and Luisa Cantu defeated Tayler Pippin and Corrine Langston by a score of 8-2 in the third flight.
In singles' action, the Lady Broncs dominated the Golden Eagles, as they recorded five of the six matches.
Oliveira handed Arkell a 6-1, 6-2 setback in the number-one lineup position while Cirne-Lima collected a 6-4, 6-0 victory over Rush in the number-two spot.
Playing in the number-three spot in the rotation, Willerding collected a 6-3, 6-4 victory against Souza while Bedeau dropped a 6-2, 6-2 decision to Pippen in the number-four spot.
Senior Buksik added another win to her career as she collected her 14th of the season when she defeated Costa by scores of 6-3, 3-6, and 10-6 in the number-five position. Cantu ended the day posted a dominating 6-0, 6-0 victory against Langston in the number-six position.
The Lady Broncs will be back in action tomorrow when they go head-to-head with Conference USA-foe University of Texas at El Paso at the Orville Cox Tennis Center with game time slated for noon.
