The University of Texas-Pan American women's tennis program will compete in the Texas State Play Day tournament this Saturday (Oct. 31) hosted by Texas State. The event will take place at the Bobcat Tennis Complex in San Marcos, Texas.

The Texas State Play Day will be a one-day tournament with schools from UTSA, Texas-Pan American along with host Texas State.

This will be the Lady Bronc's second year competing at the Texas State Play Day. Last year, the women did not perform as well as they had hoped to, however, this year they are looking for a better finish to conclude their fall season.

"This weekend will be good for us. It's a chance for me to spend some time with the girls. We have all been looking forward to getting to know each other better on and off the court," said head coach, Chris Taylor.

The tournament itself will be a flighted round robin tournament with six flights of singles. There will be two round of singles play and one round of doubles action

The Texas State Play Day will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Bobcat Tennis Complex.
