The University of Texas-Pan American men's and women's tennis teams will travel to Monterrey, Mexico where they will play in their final tournament of the fall season on Saturday (Nov. 2).
"Monterrey will be very good for us because we will be playing against good competition, said head men's and women's tennis coach Rob Hubbard. "Half of their players on their team are at the professional level and it's a good chance for us to develop a good relationship with Monterrey and Mexico."
UTPA will travel to Monterrey, Mexico to play three flights against the Borregos. The Broncs dropped a 4-3 decision with Monterrey Tech in their last meeting at home last season while the women suffered a 5-2 setback.
The Broncs are coming off a three-day tournament at the ITA Regionals in Austin, TX where the squad matched-up against some of the best competition in Texas and the Lady Broncs rapped up the 2007 ITA Southwest Regional Championships in Lubbock, TX.
Both the men and the women will use this final competition in preparation for the upcoming spring season which begins January 19.
The Broncs and Lady Broncs will begin tennis action at the Monterrey Tech tennis courts on Saturday (Nov. 2) at 9 a.m.
