Outdoor - Montalvo recorded four top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field season... finished third overall in the pole vault with a mark of 9-10 at the Bobcat Open... tied a program record where she placed fourth overall at the Texas Twilight with a mark of 10-11.75 in the pole vault ... recorded a sixth-place finish at the Border Olympics in the pole vault with a mark of 10-6... finished sixth overall in the pole vault with a mark of 10-0 at the Tom Tellez Invitational.

Classroom - The UTPA sophomore was selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during the spring semester.

2005
Outdoor - Montalvo concluded her rookie campaign with the Lady Broncs by holding three of the top-five marks in the pole vault in UTPA program history... captured her first individual championship at the Spira Invitational after clearing a height of 10-1.25, which was the second-best mark in program history... reached a mark of 10-0 at both the Rice/Bayou Classic and Houston Invitational... placed sixth overall in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 15.63 at the Spira Invitational... Indoor - The UTPA freshman recorded a school record time of 9.38 in the 60-meter hurdles at the Hyatt Regency Invitational... Classroom - Montalvo was selected to the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during the spring semester.

Rio Grande City High School
Montalvo was an all-around standout student-athlete for Rio Grande City High School... holds records for the 100-meter hurdles (14.30) and 300-meter hurdles (44.50) in the Rio Grande Valley... earned the highest-point total for a female in each of her first three seasons... won the district championship in the 100- and 300-meter hurdles as a freshman and senior... qualified for the regional championship every season that she competed in track and field... earned a berth to the Texas State Track and Field Championships during her junior campaign... competed in the TAAF State Meet where she won the 100-meter hurdles on two occasions and 300-meter hurdles during the 2003 season... guided her prep squad to a district championship during her senior season... earned nine letters for the Rattlers - four in track and field, three in volleyball, one in cheerleading and one in basketball... was a member of the National Honor Society.
