2008 Season [Sophomore]
Sat out much of her sophomore season due to an injury but saw action in three games towards the end of the season...recorded seven assists and two digs in two matches played...recorded her seven assists and two digs against Texas Southern (Oct. 31)...earned Dean's List Second honors and Bronc Bride 3.0 Club honors.
2007 Season [Freshman]
In her rookie campaign with the Lady Broncs, Cucancic saw action in seven matches, including three games, en route to earning her first letter with the squad... posted a career-high 34 assists, six digs and four kills against Fisk University (Oct. 13) ... collected 13 assists versus Texas State (Nov. 10)... finished the season averaging 7.00 assists per game, 0.86 digs per game, and 0.71 kills per game.
High School
The Kirbyville High School talent was an all-around standout on the athletic fields as she earned 13 letters during her career with the Wildcats - volleyball (three), track and field (three), softball (three), cross country (two), tennis (one) and basketball (one)... earned first team All-District 22-3A honors during her junior and senior campaigns with the Wildcats... ranked second among all setters in District 22-3A during her junior campaign... served as a member of the Spanish Club, Future Farmers of America, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society and Student Council... competed with the Jefferson County Juniors Volleyball Club during her prep career.
Off the Court
Cucancic is the daughter of Vick and Stephanie Cucancic... born on February 18, 1989... has two sisters - Faith and Hope - and one brother - Caleb... has an uncle that played collegiate basketball at Chattanooga State and an aunt that played collegiate volleyball at the University of West Georgia... majoring in athletic training.
