Deanna Schneyer begins her first season as a graduate assistant for The University of Texas-Pan American volleyball program.
Schneyer holds strong ties with the UTPA volleyball program as she spent her entire collegiate career donning the Bronc green and orange. Schneyer spent two seasons under the direction of Dave Thorn and her final two seasons of her collegiate career under the direction of Angela Hubbard.
While at UTPA, Schneyer received several awards, including two Academic All-Independent honors and one Great West honor. She was also inducted into the 20-plus Kills Club with 21 kills against Texas-Arlington during her freshman campaign. That same season, Schneyer placed her name in the freshman record books as she ranked first in block assists (80), second in total blocks (92.0) and ninth amongst all independent players in total blocks.
At the end of her collegiate career, she earned eight spots in the career books ranking tied for second in blocks per game (0.73), third in block solos (71) and block assists (224), fourth in total blocks (295), tied for seventh in hitting percentage (.197), eighth in kills (837) and 10th in games played (405) and total attacks (2,162).
Schneyer earned her bachelor's degree in marketing from The University of Texas-Pan American and is pursuing a master's degree in business administration.
