The University of Texas-Pan American Lady Broncs dropped a three-set decision to Utah Valley State at the UTPA fieldhouse on Saturday (Oct. 20).
The Lady Broncs dropped their overall record to 9-16 on the 2007 campaign while the Lady Wolverines notched their fourth straight victory en route to securing a 16-6 record.
Utah Valley came out strong recording victories of 30-14 and 30-23 in the first two sets then were able to seal the victory with a 30-11 triumph in the third and final frame.
The Lady Wolverines were led by Terin Ledall who collected a match-high 11 kills to go along with two block assists and Allyce Wilson who added a match-high 26 digs.
Kellie Phillips (Chandler, AZ/Corona del Sol H.S.) finished with six kills and five digs while Chelsea Blakely (Houston, TX/J. Frank Dobie H.S.) dished out 19 assists in the UTPA setback.
The Lady Broncs will be back in action on Saturday (Oct.27) at the UTPA Fieldhouse, where the Valley's team will square-off against Chicago State at 2 p.m.
