Cross Country - Escovedo started her senior campaign with a seventh-place finish at the Corpus Christi Relays with a time of 25:56.0...finished in 15th at the National Independent Championships with a time of19:45.99...Indoor - competed in the 800-meter run and one-mile run at the Houston Invitational...Outdoor - tallied up four top-10 finishes during the season...in the opening outdoor meet, Escovedo placed fourth in 1,500-meter run at the Border Olympics with a time of 5:11.69...competed in the 3,000-meter run at the Border Olympics and earned a seventh-place finish with a time of 11:10.97...ran the steeplechase for the first time and crossed the finish line in fourth with a time of 12:15.80.

Cross Country - The UTPA junior competed in four meets during the cross country season... Outdoor - Escovedo recorded her best finish of the outdoor track and field season at the Tom Tellez Invitational where she posted a time of 18:24.09 in the 5,000-meter race en route to earning third-place honors... finished fifth overall at the Bobcat Open with a time of 10:44.64 in the 3,000-meter race... placed sixth overall at the ASU/David Noble Relays with a time of 18:57.72 in the 5,000-meter race... Indoor - Escovedo competed in three meets during the indoor season in the 3,000-meter race... finished fourth overall at the UH/Run Sport All-Comers Meet... crossed the line in 10th place with a time of 20:05.70 at the University of Houston Invitational.
2006
...Outdoor - Escovedo recorded her best finish of the outdoor track and field season at the Border Olympics where he posted a time of 5:06.55 in the 1,500-meter race en route to earning sixth-place honors... crossed the end line in 12th place with a season-best mark of 4:56.62 at the Texas Invitational... Indoor - The UTPA newcomer earned her first career top-10 finish at the Wes Kittley Six-Way where she finished seventh overall with a mark of 2:30.80 in the 800-meter race... Classroom - Escovedo earned Dean's List Second Honors during the spring semester for the first time in her career... was a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member in the spring.
2005
Cross Country - Escovedo competed in all five meets for the Lady Broncs during her freshman campaign... recorded her best finish of the season at the Texas Lutheran Invitational with a time of 25:01.00 in the 6,000-meter race en route to earning 12th-place honors... finished 36th overall at the Rice University Invitational with a time of 16:56.56 in the 4,000-meter race... placed 41st overall at the National Independent Cross Country Championships with a time of 18:54.21 in the 5,000-meter race.
High School
A native of Edinburg, Escovedo was named cross country Most Valuable Performer four times and track and field MVP twice during her high school career... was a regional meet qualifier four times and a state meet qualifier once... earned ten letters during high school - four in cross country, four in track and field and two in basketball.
Off the Track
Escovedo is the daughter of Jorge and Delia Escovedo... has two brothers -George and Chris - and two sisters - Sonia and Jessica... was born Oct. 15, 1986... majoring in elementary education with a minor in kinesiology.
