Outdoor - The UTPA junior recorded her best finish at the Houston Invitational where she posted a time of 2:30.77 in the 800-meter race en route to earning sixth-place honors... posted a 10th-place finish at the Border Olympics with a mark of 2:41.37 in the 800-meter race... finished 13th overall at the ASU/David Noble Relays with a time of 2:37.53 in the 800 meters... Indoor - Garcia captured runner-up laurels in the 1,000-meter race with a time of 3:28.57 at the Wes Kittley Invitational... finished 15th overall at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet with a time of 2:31.21 in the 800-meter race... Classroom - Garcia was selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the second time in her career... was a Dean's List Second Honors award winner during the fall semester... joined the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during both the fall and spring semesters.

2005
Outdoor - Garcia crossed the finish line with a career-best mark of 2:25.06 in the 800-meter race at the Rice/Bayou Classic en route to 33rd-place laurels... finished seventh overall in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:31.64 at the Angela Proctor Invitational... Indoor - The UTPA sophomore competed in two events during the indoor season... recorded her best finish at the Houston Indoor Classic with a time of 2:35.21 in the 800-meter race en route to earning 11th-place honors... Classroom - Garcia was selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the first time in her career... was a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member during both the fall and spring semesters.

2004
Indoor - Garcia finished 27th overall in the one-mile race with a time of 6:10.95 at the Houston/RunSports All-Comers Meet... Classroom - The UTPA newcomer was selected as a Bronc Pride 3.0 Club member during the spring semester.

2003
Cross Country - Garcia recorded her best finish of the season at the New Mexico State Lobo Invitational where she crossed the end line in 58th place.

High School
Garcia won the district championship in the high jump in three consecutive seasons... captured the district title in the 1,600 meters race as a junior... was named Most Valuable Player for the cross country and track and field teams in each of her four seasons... recorded a top time of 5:28 in the 1,600 meters, 2:22 in the 800 meters and a high jump mark of 5-2.

Garcia is the daughter of Debra L. Garcia... was born on Jan. 21, 1985... has one brother - Richard - and four sisters - Monique, Lilianna, Lisa and Jessica... majoring in business.
