Outdoor - The UTPA junior recorded four top-10 finishes during the outdoor track and field campaign... finished fourth overall in the 3,000 meters with a season-best time of 10:33.46 at the Texas Twilight... posted a fifth-place finish at the ASU/David Noble Relays with a time of 18:44.29 in the 5,000-meter race... notched an eighth-place finish at the Texas Invitational with a mark of 10:47.14 in the 3,000-meter race... recorded a time of 5:14.57 in the 1,500-meter race at the Border Olympics en route to garnering ninth-place honors... Classroom - Perez was selected to the UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll for the first time in her career... recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average during both the fall and spring semesters en route to earning Dean's List First Honors... was a member of the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club in the fall and spring.

2005
Cross Country - Perez posted the best finish of her career at the Texas Lutheran Invitational where she earned fourth-place laurels with a time of 24:01.00 in the 6,000-meter race... placed 29th overall at the National Independent Cross Country Championships with a time of 18:25.98 in the 5,000-meter race... Outdoor - The UTPA sophomore earned third-place honors at the Houston Invitational with a time of 11:27.81 in the 3,000-meter race... garnered sixth-place laurels at the Border Olympics with a mark of 10:56.77 in the 3,000 meters... posted a 12th-place finish in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 18:51.75 at the Rice Twilight... Indoor - Perez placed 10th overall in the 3,000 meters with a time of 11:07.38 at the Houston Indoor Classic.

2004
Cross Country - Perez recorded her best finish of the season at the National Independent Cross Country Championships with a 28th-place showing after she crossed the finish line in 18:38.00 in the 5,000-meter race... finished 31st overall at the Texas State Invitational with a time of 20:51.00 in the 5,000-meter race... Indoor - Perez placed third overall in the 5,000 meters with a time of 20:15.29 at the Houston/RunSport All-Comers Meet... Classroom - Perez was cited as a member of the Bronc Pride 3.0 Club during the spring semester.

2003
Cross Country - Perez finished 12th overall at the UTSA/Whataburger Invitational with a time of 20:40.00 in the 5,000-meter race... earned 18th-place honors at the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Splash with a time of 19:09 in the three-mile meet.

High School
A product of Falfurrias High School, Perez captured the district championship in cross country in each of her final two seasons... qualified for the regional meet in all four seasons and earned a berth in the state meet during her senior campaign... was a four-time district champion in the 3,200-meter race... captured a pair of district titles in the 1600-meter race... competed at the regional meet four times in the 3,200 meters and three times in the 1,600-meter races.

Perez is the daughter of Oscar Perez and Hermelinda Lopez... has one brother - Oscar... was born on Feb. 1, 1985... majoring in rehabilitative services.
