Outdoor - The UTPA sophomore posted four top-10 finishes during her second season with the Lady Broncs' outdoor track and field program... finished fifth overall in the 1,500-meter race at the Bobcat Open... notched a seventh place showing at the Tom Tellez Invitational with a time of 5:02.48... posted a time of 5:06.82 in the 1,500-meter race at the ASU/David Noble Relays en route to finishing seventh overall... finished ninth overall in the 1,500-meter race with a mark of 4:59.29 at the Texas Twilight... Indoor - Rivera finished 24th overall in the one-mile race with a time of 5:24.40 at the University of Houston Invitational... notched a 32nd finish in the 800-meter race... Classroom - Rivera earned Independent All-Academic laurels as she was one of seven female student-athletes among all NCAA Division I Independent runners to have posted a perfect 4.0 grade point average for her efforts as a biology major.

2006
Outdoor - The UTPA newcomer posted a trio of top-10 finishes during her first season with the Lady Broncs' outdoor track and field program... finished third overall at the Border Olympics with a season-best time of 4:57.44 in the 1,500-meter race... finished third overall in the 800-meter race with a mark of 2:20.56 at the Houston Invitational... notched a fourth-place showing at the ASU/David Noble Relays with a time of 2:19.80 in the 800-meter race... posted a season-best 2:19.47 in the 800-meter race at the Texas Twilight en route to earning 12th-place accolades... Indoor - Rivera finished third overall in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:27.26 at the Wes Kittley Six-Way... posted a time of 5:28.30 in the one-mile race at the UH/RunSport All-Comers Meet en route to finishing 11th overall... Classroom - Rivera earned UTPA Athletic Director's Honor Roll laurels for the first time in her career... recorded a perfect 4.0 grade point average during both semesters en route to earning a pair of trips to the Dean's List First Honors list... garnered Bronc Pride 3.0 Club accolades during the fall and spring semester.

2005
Cross Country - Rivera competed in a pair of meets for the Lady Broncs in her first season on the cross country team... finished 51st overall at the National Independent Cross Country Championship with a time of 19:30.44 in the 5,000-meter race.

High School
Rivera was a regional qualifier in track and field in the 800 meters and the mile-relay during her senior season at Hanna High School... honored with the Most Athletic Award... earned ten varsity letters in cross country, track and field and soccer... helped her soccer team to the state quarterfinals in the playoffs.

Rivera is the daughter of Guadalupe and Esther Rivera... has two sisters - Isis and Rhonda... was born May 29, 1987... majoring in biology.
