Kristyna Mancias begins her first year as Assistant Sports Information Director for The University of Texas-Pan American.
As the assistant Sports Information Director, Mancias oversees the direction of both men and women's athletic programs at The University of Texas-Pan American. She serves as their primary contact for all 12 athletic programs.
Along with serving as media contact, Mancias is responsible for the production of the media guides, men and women's basketball yearbooks and as well as updating the athletic website - www.utpabroncs.cstv.com.
As an undergraduate at The University of Texas-Pan American, Mancias served as a student assistant sports information director under the direction of Sports Information Director Joe Monaco. Mancias was a two-year member of the The Pan American Newspaper where she severed as a sports writer and competed in the Texas Intercollegiate Press Association held in San Antonio in 2007. The newly-named assistant sports information director was the voice of the Lady Broncs volleyball and basketball program last season.
Mancias is a native of McAllen, TX, and is a 2007 graduate of The University of Texas-Pan American where she received her bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism. She is currently working on her master's degree in communication studies at The University of Texas-Pan American.
Mancias currently resides in McAllen.
